I was at a big store the other day with my kids. I allowed them to go through the self-checkout themselves because they like to do the scanning part. Of course, there were issues with the machine. It was not able to give enough change back. The woman in the yellow vest told us to go up to Customer Service to get the remainder of our change. I mistakenly told her "It's just two cents", and she corrected me by saying, "This is a multi-billion dollar company. They need to be held accountable." We then had a short conversation about taking care of ourselves in the coming times, and teaching my kids in moments like these. She quietly asked "Are you a Believer?" and I answered "yes". She then kept saying, "Be read up and prayed up." What an awesome reminder to read my Bible, and pray to God, everyday. Also, to raise my kids to do the same thing, everyday.
But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.
