How can I fight discouragement?

Today, I'll admit to you that I'm a bit discouraged. I was looking at the website statistics (Specifically for these blog posts), and I see that actual reading of the blog is down (though people interact with the one paragraph I post on our social media pages). This is not me fishing for you to go and look through them to make me feel better, but I need to come out and say that I am discouraged. I feel led to do these, near daily (Mondays, as a rule, are the exception). And yet I am writing, and it seems like very few are reading. I'm discouraged, and I think I have figured out why: I'm making this about me. I'm focused on Me. Correy Tenboom said it best: “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest.” I need to stop looking at me. Period. I am discouraged because I am called, and I am not seeing what I want to see. Instead of basking in obedience, instead of loving God as I should, and thank Him for allowing me to write daily (A habit I've been wanting to pick up), instead of praising Him that He is guiding me, I am sayig "Lord, you called, why is no one answering?" Obedience is the key. I look at the persons of the Old and New Testament. The fruits they often saw were much the same as I feel now. They, too, got discouraged, but what led them through was focusing on God. Those who focused on themselves fell and failed, those who focused on God felt His presence and blessing. Christian, you're a child of the most High! Don't be discouraged when things are not going how YOU want them! If you're being obedient, in God's will (the word of God tells us that), you'll find your rest and peace. It doesn't matter what is going on around you, what is, or is not going according to your plans. We can feel rest, peace, and joy, no matter what our circumstances if we remember who God says we are, and get away from a faith that produces results. A Faith that produces results is based on our works, not on what God has done for us, and that is not a faith that Jesus ever taught. Rest in Him. Find your peace in Him. Be Obedient to Him, and watch, when HE is responsible for outcomes, how your discouragement melts away. Psalm 43
Send Out Your Light and Your Truth
1Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! 2For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! 4Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.
5Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
