Overwhelmed

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get so overwhelmed, I just can't think straight. Today is one of those days. I feel unproductive, I feel like I can't function. What is more, I run to all the wrong things, none of which provide much by way of rest. Jesus made it clear, however. "Come to me." We put all of these burdens on ourselves, have tos, to-dos, honey-dos, and whatever else we "must do" and we don't clearly hear the Master's call to "rest." When Jesus says His yoke is easy and His burden is light, He's saying He will take upon our burdens, and He will place on to us what We can carry, because He's already done the heavy lifting! His yoke is easy, His burden is light, so let us stop walking with stooped back and defeat! Instead, let us come to the master, shut everything off, and rest in His presence. No matter what you're doing, you can rest in His presence. Matthew 11:25-30 25At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.g 27All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
