The Inspired Word, Not an Inspiring Thought

Some of these blog posts, I know, sound like rants, and I think to a degree, some of them are. I am so disappointed nowadays that so many believers would rather quote something inspiring (though it isn't true or biblically sound), than quote directly from God's word. I hate songs and quotes that seem to speak from God's perspective, though don't have a real base in Scripture. Everything that "God wants you to know" is in the Bible's words, not in someone's thoughts. God doesn't say "you're enough." God says "I Am." Here i are some things God says of Himself (10 statements of 35 from a lovely article from this site): 1. “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Genesis 17:1

2. “I am the God of your father, Abraham,” He said. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you and will bless you. Genesis 26:24

3. “I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you.” Exodus 3:14

4. And God said to Moses, “I am Yahweh—‘the Lord.’ Exodus 6:2

5. “I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26

6. “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. Exodus 20:2“I am merciful.”

7. Exodus 22:27“Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” Exodus 34:6

8. “If you obey my decrees and my regulations, you will find life through them. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 18:5“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:10

9. Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. Isaiah 28:16

10. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 Beloved ones, don't look to the inspiring words of man to lift you up, look to the Inspired Word of God. The Word of God preached will never contradict the written and inspired Word of God, but we know through the testing of the spirits (1 John 4:1). We can test by the transformation of the Renewing of our minds what is the will of God, what is good, and pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2). We know God's word is true, and there is no contradiction or variation (James 1:17), and we know that He breathed all Scripture out, and it is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, that the person whom God calls is full equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). Beloved Brothers and Sisters, we don't need to be inspired, God's word is. We can trust in Him, because it is not by anything we can say or do, but what He has already done through Christ Jesus and Is doing through the work of the Holy Spirit. And you can trust in God's word that Jesus is enough. (For today's verses, see the links I have provided to all of the scripture verses quoted!)
